I guess you do what works, but for me? My marriage was just as important as my child and therefore there was no co-sleeping, and yes, plenty of sleep training. I wouldn't call it Ferberizing, it was slightly less harsh than the true Ferber method. But it totally worked for us and I do not have an ounce of guilt, nor do I believe any of the theories about babies growing up with all this repressed insecurity stuff because their mothers let them cry. The second kid was WAAAAY easier than the first though.
